Plot

The story is set in the 16th century and revolves around the Kohinoor diamond. Pawan Kalyan plays a warrior who rebels against the Mughals for attacking Hindus and protects Hindu values. The plot follows a thief Hari Hara Veeramallu (Pawan Kalyan) who protects the country’s wealth from the British and shares it with the poor. He tries to retrieve the Kohinoor diamond from the Mughals and, in the process, protects Hindus and upholds Hindu values. The challenges Veera Mallu faces while bringing the diamond from Delhi, and how he confronts Aurangzeb (Bobby Deol), who tortures Hindus and imposes unfair taxes, form the core plot. Meanwhile how he crosses paths with Panchami (Nidhhi Agerwal) adds another layer to the story.

Performances

The film is completely a Pawan Kalyan one-man show. He fits perfectly in the role of a warrior who safeguards Hindu values. With his unique style and swag, he energizes his fans. He looks impressive in the Veera Mallu avatar. The film’s main highlights are the fights. Pawan Kalyan designed the action sequences himself and performed them brilliantly.

Nidhhi Agerwal Dazzles in the role of Panchami. She looks glamorous in songs and also played a pivotal role in the story. She did well for her role. Bobby Deol even with his limited screen presence impressed with his menacing act. Others like Sathyaraj, Sachin Khedekar, Sunil, Raghu Babu, Nasser are adequate.

Analysis

The film’s narration starts with a voiceover taking viewers into the 1670 happenings across the country. The screenplay is racy during action sequences but slows down during romantic and comedy scenes. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is carried single-handedly by Pawan Kalyan. He impresses in his first-ever period film with both looks and performance. The film is a solid action-packed entertainer, with Pawan Kalyan’s martial arts scenes and dialogue delivery being his strengths. While the first half is exciting, the second half slightly derails. Director Jothi Krishna done excellent job .

Oscar Winner Keeravani showed his versatility in the tunes. He not only came up with foottapping tunes but also folk beats to balance both the relatability to the story and also connect chords with the viewers. He elevated with his BGM. The film’s cinematography is good, with Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnana Shekar V.S. showcasing the scenes of the 1670s in a natural and realistic way.  Overall, the film is a powerful treat for Pawan Kalyan fans, with meaningful content and impactful action sequences.
